You can access our services if you live in the Counties Manukau, Waitemata and Northland District Health Boards. Our services are also available to women from Gisborne, Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.
Our service works closely with the Regional Cancer and Blood Service at Auckland City Hospital (chemotherapy and radiation therapy services) to deliver the best possible outcomes for women and their whānau.
Women are assessed at outpatient clinics, where they are seen by specialist oncology staff. This includes a Gynaecology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist who will support them through their treatment journey.
Women are examined and asked questions about their illness, and management options will be discussed.

Ward 97 at Auckland City Hospital provides care both pre-operative and post operative care. Our employees on the ward have expertise in the care of women with oncological needs and are supported by the Clinical Nurse Specialist. Access to specialist units, such as our High Dependency Unit or Critical Care, is available when higher levels of monitoring are needed.

Women and their whānau can be referred to a range of health professionals should they need extra support. This includes psychologists, physiotherapists, dieticians, occupational therapists and pharmacists.
