Minimally Invasive Gynaecology Service (MIGS)

What we can help with

Our Minimally Invasive Gynaecology Service (MIGS) is made up of a multi-disciplinary team of experienced Gynaecologists and specialised nurses. This service is a subspecialty of Obstetrics & Gynaecology with all our Gynaecologists having advanced training in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. Not all individuals referred to our service will require surgery.  The MIGS team also works very closely with Colorectal Surgeons, Urologists and the Womens Health Pain Service (WHPS).

We see patients with

  • Uterine Fibroids
  • Menstrual problems including heavy, painful or irregular periods
  • Endometriosis and Pelvic pain
  • Pelvic Pain and Pelvic floor Hyperactivity

Some of our clinicians perform advanced pelvic ultrasounds in clinic as part of their assessment. This would be discussed with you in clinic if recommended.
