Help to quit smoking

Smokefree support

Te Toka Tumai Auckland Hospital provides a support service to hapū wahine (pregnant women), their partners and whānau. Supporting hapu mothers and their whānau to stop smoking not only improves your health, but also the health of your pēpi.

While you are under our care:

  • a Smokefree Practitioner can meet with you to talk about your smoking.
  • a plan is made together on how to become smokefree.
  • we can offer reduced-cost Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT).

We can also refer you to community stop-smoking services for ongoing support once discharged.
